Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Unarmed Rover in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet staff and visitors, respond to calls for assistance, and document observations with clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service while performing security-related duties by following site-specific policies, access control procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and promptly communicate updates to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor and document visitor, vendor, and staff entry using approved sign-in processes, identification checks, and badge control, and help direct individuals to appropriate departments.
  • Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, including patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and maintain required records in accordance with post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
