Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Hotel Patrol in New Orleans, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a hotel and resort location, you will conduct routine patrols of guest areas and back-of-house spaces, help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence, and support access control and badge procedures. You will provide polished customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting while working with a caring team that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests and staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and resort location.
  • Respond to guest concerns, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to management and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of guest areas, lobbies, parking areas, back-of-house spaces, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or suspicious activity through established channels.
  • Complete accurate reports and logs, communicate shift updates to site leadership, and support security-related operations during special events, high-occupancy periods, and/or peak arrival times.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
