We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Communications Lead to join our Internal Audit (IA) team, partnering closely with our Communications organization. This role is located in New York City. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Support the Chief Audit Executive, the Internal Audit Chief Administrative Officer, and the IA Leadership Team in the development and managing of a strategic internal communications plan for the IA function in close collaboration with the Corporate Communications Team. This plan will ensure consistent messaging around the function's vision, strategy, and priorities; celebrate team and individual successes; and reinforce cultural values through various channels, including town halls, leadership and management team meetings, internal communications, thought leadership publications, and leadership messages both to internal and business stakeholders.
- Work as part of a small team to develop communications strategies which support enterprise goals, and the priorities of the Internal Audit organization, based around clear outcomes, with specific tactics and success metrics.
- In close collaboration with the enterprise People Team and Corporate Communications, develop and communicate the value proposition of a career in Internal Audit. This involves crafting a compelling narrative that highlights the function's strategic impact, innovative work, and career development opportunities to attract top-tier talent from both internal mobility channels and the external market.
- Build outstanding written communications including key messages, talking points, FAQs and other collateral.
- Participate in discussions with colleagues to establish a perspective on issues relevant to the reputation of the firm.
- Bring creativity and excellence to your work and inspire the same in other members of the team.
- Bring structure and discipline to all communication programs that originate from the People Team, including driving upward and downward visibility into work in the space and curating a positive employee experience.
- Partner with individuals throughout communications and other organizations within BNY.
- Develop new and innovative ways to inform and engage IA employees.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: * Bachelor's / Master's degree in communication, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
* 10 plus years of proven experience in communication roles, with a focus on internal communication.
* Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
* Proficiency in utilizing various communication tools and platforms.
- Partner across multiple stakeholders, teams, and functions to successfully achieve desired outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills across geographies.
- Open communicator who can reach out to multiple stakeholders across hierarchy.
Preferred Skills:
* Familiarity with digital communications tools, trends and best practices.
* Proven track record of being a part of successful communication campaigns in a corporate environment.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $203,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
