SUMMARY:


The Customer Sales Executive role will be responsible for profitably growing the business through assigned Distributor Accounts & Indirect/Retail Customers in the US marketplace. The CSE will work closely with other functions of the organization to deliver key metrics such as net sales, market share, and trade spend targets. Responsibilities will include business planning & analysis, creating business partnerships with assigned customers and aligning Hershey internal business resources while achieving mutually beneficial agreements through skilled negotiation and understanding of the customer's business.



RESPONSIBILITIES:


Achieve gross sales, market share, new distribution gains, and trade spend targets for assigned customers. Balance administrative, transactional, and some strategic priorities. Create & implement annual merchandising and promotional plans along with respective selling & execution plans grounded on insights and data available. Manage financial responsibilities which may include managing & allocating trade funds. Understand how business decisions impact the P&L. Develop collaborative partnerships with customers and internal Hershey resources to develop short-term and long-term business growth plans. Establish customer relationships that will anticipate and resolve any potential problems. Leverage sales skills such as effective communication, planning, and organizational skills to balance all priorities to effectively estimate sales & trade. Proactive in identifying new opportunities throughout the marketplace. Perform other duties as assigned by lead CSE such as maintaining business intelligence information, and customer contact files

Accountabilities
* Achieve sales targets with assigned customers
* Accountable for seeking new distribution gains throughout the marketplace
* Develop business partnerships between distributor & indirect customers
* Conduct business reviews to track & monitor customer performance



Execution
* Present pricing & promotion plans according to Plan
* Work and train with distributor's sales force
* Conduct price checks throughout the marketplace
* Track and manage implementation of all POS material



Administrative
* Maintaining information files, review proposals, and customer contact data
* Read, maintain, & interpret syndicated data files
* Manage expense reports



QUALIFICATIONS:


Education: Bachelor's degree preferred


Experience: Minimum 2 years of CPG/food industry sales experience. Entry-level sales considered. Fluent in Spanish preferred and have multicultural awareness of the US Hispanic consumer. Strong attention to detail with excellent presentation, communication, and project management skills. Technical skills with the ability to interpret Business Intelligence Data. Sales/Account management experience which will include monitoring market trends, identifying needs, and building relationships within all levels of a customer's organization. Must be willing travel domestically up to 25% of the time with some occasional travel to Mexico, and reside in the vicinity of Houston, TX.
