Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Driving Role Patrol in Wilmington, DE, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post, so you will use a valid driver's license to move between areas as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, location policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, office spaces, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Monitor access points and truck or delivery traffic as assigned, helping to maintain orderly entry and exit in accordance with site rules.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, alarms, and/or unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate relevant updates during shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
