Pay Range $57,800.00-$79,500.00+ Annual
Job Summary: As an Assistant Director of Culinary Services, you will be responsible for assisting with creating menus for all levels of living (independent, assisted, SNF, Rehab, MC. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and planning menus according to customers' preferences and dietary requirements
- Managing kitchen staff/dining, including hiring, training, and overseeing their work
- Ensuring the quality of food and presentation meet organizational standards
- Supervising food preparation and culinary activities, including cooking and presentation
- Estimating food requirements and coordinating cooking/ dining schedules
- Implementing and maintaining health and safety regulations in the kitchen including CMS regulations.
- Working closely with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to promote its culinary offerings.
- Assist in managing kitchen budget, ensuring efficient use of supplies and ingredients
- Staying current with culinary trends and techniques and incorporating them into menu offerings
- The ideal candidate is an experienced professional with a passion for the culinary arts and experience in restaurant management or a similar role.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation
- Oversee kitchen operations and manage any food-related concerns
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
- Standardize recipes to ensure consistent taste and quality
- Oversee kitchen/dining operations and manage any food-related concerns
- Attend special events
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Fine dining experenice/FOH
- Experience in POS systems FOH and BOH. Meal-suite, GPO's and purchasing. Workday and OnShift
Qualifications:
- 1 to 3 years of food service supervisory or lead experience.
- Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Financial experience and business acumen skills.
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
- Associate's degree is preferred.
