Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Maintenance Planning reports to the Managing Director, Technical Services and provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all line and base maintenance planning and scheduling activities across JetBlue's fleet. This role ensures maintenance requirements are planned and executed in compliance with the FAA-approved maintenance program while supporting safe, reliable, and cost-effective airline operations. As a senior operational leader, this position drives cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Maintenance, Materials, Maintenance Control, Network Planning, SOC, and Flight Operations. The Senior Manager establishes standardized planning processes, performance metrics, and long-range strategies that enhance aircraft availability, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance, while developing high-performing teams aligned with JetBlue's culture and values. Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and governance for maintenance planning policies, standards, and processes
- Lead maintenance planning strategy for line and base maintenance activities
- Ensure all scheduled maintenance requirements are planned and executed within FAA-approved program limits
- Oversee short-term and long-range maintenance forecasts including heavy maintenance inputs
- Represent Technical Operations interests on the Schedule Horizons working group
- Coordinate with Operations and Network Planning to ensure adequate ground time for maintenance
- Maintain Technical Operations Task Guide Standards and coordinate tri-annual updates
- Collaborate with Engineering and Reliability to align maintenance plans with ADs, SBs, and fleet initiatives
- Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement through data-driven planning decisions
- Lead, mentor, and develop Maintenance Planning teams and leaders
- Promote a strong Safety Management System (SMS) culture
- Plan for and manage Maintenance Planning manpower, facility, information technology, and system requirements.
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support the engagement, growth, goal achievement by establishing clear performance expectations and accountability for Crewmembers, and lead daily Crewmember coaching sessions.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma or GED and at least four (4) years of airline or aerospace manufacturing industry work experience
- Six (6) years of leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Six (6) years of airline operational experience
- Working knowledge of Part 121 FAA regulations and regulated airline environments
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills
- Ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work under pressure, multitask and make critical decisions in a dynamic environment
- Ability to train and motivate a team
- Available for occasional overnight travel (20%)
- In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Eight (8) years of airline operational experience
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Python, Power BI, SQL)
- Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Airworthy Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB)
- Strong understanding of Preventative and Predictive Maintenance of Maintenance Planning Systems and a strong background in Analytical Maintenance principles.
- Proficient in TRAX
- Results oriented with the ability to balance diverse and dynamic operational requirements

- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue's safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $110,000 and $170,000 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
