The Johns Hopkins All Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Institute (CBDI) in St. Petersburg, Florida is recruiting an additional pediatric neuro-oncology physician to join our growing pediatric cancer program. Our neuro-oncology program has been established as a local Center of Excellence, encompassing a high volume of neuro-oncology patients and offers a variety of services, including high-tech neuro-imaging and complex brain and spinal tumor surgery. The Neuro-Oncology Center of Excellence has a large research study portfolio, consisting of biobanking, collaborative projects with basic science, and clinical interventional studies with multiple consortiums and industry partners. The CBDI collaborates with 7 pediatric neurosurgeons, a dedicated social worker, a palliative care team, and a wide array of other professionals to see around 200 unique patients each year. Our program participates in precision and individualized medicine to discover genetic and molecular aspects of central nervous system tumors to tailor treatment and chemotherapy protocols for each patient. The JHACH pediatric neuro-oncology fellowship program develops the next generation of leaders in pediatric neuro-oncology. Members of our faculty regularly participate in the education of residents and fellows.



The CBDI treats the full spectrum of pediatric cancers and blood disorders and offers patients a wide range of therapies. Our oncology and hematology programs take a whole-team approach to treating cancer and blood disorders. We work alongside specialists and subspecialists across our hospital, including social workers, child life specialists, psychologists, oncology nurses, pharmacists, patient educators and nutritionists and meet our patient's needs all in one location.



The CBDI is one of the largest in the southeastern United States and is a leading center for treatment and clinical research. Patients have access to the latest clinical trials and our affiliation with The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore connects us to even more clinical trials and emerging cures for childhood cancer. Our program expands into several outreach location in our community, as well. We are members of the Children's Oncology Group and are the only pediatric affiliate of Moffitt Cancer Center, Florida's only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center. In addition to providing clinical care, participation in medical education and research is strongly encouraged.



Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital (JHACH) is a 259-bed teaching hospital, ranked by U.S. News & World Report (2025-2026) in 8 pediatric specialties including pediatric cancer (#37 nationally) and neurology/neurosurgery (#22 nationally). We are the only US hospital outside the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. location that is part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine system.

Depending upon qualifications, either a part-time or full-time faculty appointment application can be pursued in the Division of Hematology, Department of Pediatrics, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
