Overview
OneDrive is a rapidly growing app at the center of Microsoft's cloud, interacting withnearly everypart of the company. As the place where millions of people store, organize, and access their most important Photos and Documents, OneDrive iOS plays a foundational role in how users engage with their devices and their content. As aPrincipal Engineering Manager - OneDrive iOS, you will lead a team responsible for delivering worldclass native iOS experiences on iPhone and iPad. You will work through Engineering Managers and senior engineers to drive architectural decisions, ensure technical excellence, and deliver new capabilities with high quality and velocity. Our team values deep technical craftsmanship, curiosity, and creativity. We strongly encourage"vibe coding"-exploratory, rapid, AI assisted development enabled by tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code. These tools have become integral to our engineering rhythm, and experience with them is highly recommended. While the OneDrive iOS team is primarily based in the United States, weoperateas a globally distributed team that embraces remote work. You will collaborate with colleagues across geographies and time zones, and we are committed to fostering connection, inclusion, and shared purpose no matter where each team member lives and works. You will partner across PM, Design, and Engineering teams throughout Microsoft to design, prototype, implement, validate, and ship features that bring joy, reliability, and intelligence to the OneDrive iOS experience. Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
