Overview
The Fixed Asset and Lease Accounting Team is part of Microsoft's Corporate Accounting organization. The team is responsible for the accounting, analysis and reporting of all property and equipment, intangible assets, goodwill and lease transactions in the Company's 10Q and 10K in accordance with ASC 350, 360, and 842 and supporting compliance with the Company's IFRS16 reporting requirements. The team safeguards SAP Fixed Asset subledger to comply with policy, support asset accounting and integrate assets of acquired companies. Primary business partners include Cloud Infrastructure Controllership and Enablement, Global Workplace Services, Central Finance Team, Corporate Tax Team, Supply Chain Operations, and SAP Engineering. The Accounting Director of Fixed Assets and Lease Reporting manages the Fixed Assets team, oversees lease-related external reporting, and is expected to deliver success through empowerment and accountability by modeling, coaching, and caring. This role requires understanding of business processes and the associated financial statement impact and risks to effectively lead the team in preparing and reviewing complex financial statements and drafts disclosures for regulatory accounting filings. This cross-functional, cross-company, role requires strong leadership and influence, as well as executive presence in both written and verbal form, and the ability to partner with other groups. Accounting M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
