Airgas is Hiring for an IT Support Specialist in Lawrenceville, GA!

  • A strong technical background, including desktop application knowledge and expertise in Wi-Fi, Networking, and TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting.

  • The ability to provide comprehensive technical support to end-users, which involves timely management of support tickets, and setting up and maintaining hardware and network peripherals.

  • Exceptional soft skills, including customer focus, analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a team environment.

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and internal/external network issues. Key duties involve managing support tickets, setting up and configuring various hardware and peripherals, and maintaining network devices like printers and scanners. This role requires a commitment to timely resolution of technical issues and ensuring end-user satisfaction.

  • Set up and maintain network printers and scanners.

  • Respond and resolve tickets in a timely manner.

  • Troubleshoot internal and external network issues.

  • Provide hardware and software support/troubleshooting.

  • Test and image desktops and laptops.

  • Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot software and computer peripherals.

  • Set up and configure all hardware.

  • Ensure all tickets requiring follow-up work and/or calls are resolved.

  • Provide technical support to end users.

  • Test, image, and clean PCs, laptops, and other related hardware.

Required Qualifications

  • Desktop Application Knowledge

  • Wi-Fi, Networking, TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customer's needs, both internal and external.

  • Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.

  • Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgment as well as ability to discern when to escalate issues.

  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adjust communication methods based on customer situations.

  • A positive approach and willingness to learn coupled with the ability to work in a team environment.

  • Ability to promote collaboration, coordination, and teamwork across organizational boundaries.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and juggle between divisional, local and corporate management and demands.

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, both independently and collectively.

  • Exceptional organization, time management, customer service, project estimating and problem solving skills.
