The overall objective of the Switchgear Quotations Specialist position is to work with our key vendors to ensure that our customer needs for accurate and timely bids are met and to increase overall sales and gross margin levels. This position will perform the duties described below under supervision of the Switchgear Sales Manager. What a day in this role looks like: - Prepare competitive quotations based on a comprehensive review and understanding of project plans and specifications. - Provide technical assistance to customers and use industry and product knowledge to support and build sales. - Work with customers in conjunction with sales and branch personnel to write profitable business. - Enhance strategic initiatives at key existing customer accounts while also building and developing new customers in assigned territory. - Command a complete working knowledge of all assigned and potential accounts specifically in reference to their product and service needs in order to increase revenue. - Document bid activity, sales performance, bid results, sales targets and competitive activity. What we are looking for you to bring to us: Bachelor's Degree or vocational school experience required with emphasis on business and/or equivalent knowledge through job related experience and training. - Technical aptitude and experience in the interpretation of plans and specs as related to switchgear products is preferred. - Travel to customers as required - Strong written and verbal communication skills required - Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office with particular emphasis on Excel required What We Offer You We offer great family-friendly benefits to full-time associates:
