Job Description

About FIS

Are you curious, motivated, and forward-thinking? At FIS you'll have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and relevant issues in financial services and technology.

Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.

About the team

Our Data Science team is a collaborative group of analytical problem-solvers who partner closely across products, business stakeholders, and technical functions to deliver data-driven insights and innovative solutions.

We work across a diverse suite of products and business intelligence initiatives, teaming with cross-functional partners in product, engineering, decision sciences, and client-facing groups to ensure our work aligns with business goals and drives meaningful outcomes.

Leveraging large and complex datasets, we apply advanced analytics, predictive modeling, machine learning, and AI to translate business challenges into scalable, data-science solutions that support strategic decision-making and deliver measurable value for both internal stakeholders and clients.

What you will be doing

Assess, review, analyze, and interpret large, complex datasets to uncover product-level insights, quantify value, validate performance, and translate findings into actionable recommendations that help clients understand how to best leverage the data.

Design, develop, and refine predictive models and algorithms that enhance existing products and power new data-driven capabilities, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with product strategy.

Communicate analytical results, model decisions, and advanced techniques to internal stakeholders (product, engineering, leadership) and external clients, translating technical concepts into clear, actionable narratives that support product adoption and business outcomes.

Lead, mentor, and coach team members, shaping modeling best practices, elevating technical quality, and guiding less-experienced staff through complex analytical and product-development work.

Influence product roadmap and strategy by connecting analytical evidence to product opportunities, championing data-driven decisions, and partnering with client-facing teams to understand needs and shape future capabilities.

Work hands-on across multiple systems and platforms to lead analytical workflows, uphold rigorous data-quality standards, and apply strong statistical methodologies that ensure reliable, scalable product insights. (Snowflake, Unix/Linux, AWS, SQL, Python/R, Tableau, Power BI, & SAS)

What you bring

  • 5+ years of hands-on data science experience.

  • Strong command of modern data science tools and languages. (SQL, Python/R, Snowflake, AWS, Tableau, & Power BI)

  • Strong track record of delivering analytical and modeling solutions that support product strategy and client outcomes.

  • Deep proficiency in data mining, statistics, predictive modeling, and programming.

  • Ability to translate complex technical work into scalable, business-aligned solutions.

  • Ability to interpret large complex datasets and transform them into actionable insights.

  • Ability to explain advanced analytical methods and results to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Leadership mindset with experience mentoring, influencing cross-functional partners, and contributing to high-quality data-driven product development.

Bonus if you have

  • Experience with SAS for teams or products that integrate legacy analytical workflows or require cross-platform model support.

What we offer you

  • A multifaceted job with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities.

  • A competitive salary and benefits.

  • A variety of career development tools, resources and opportunities.

  • The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in financial services & technology.
