Job Overview:

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of facilities. Responsibilities include promptly addressing repair requests, maintaining safety measures (such as alarms and fire systems), and handling emergency maintenance tasks. This role requires communication skills, adaptability, and knowledge of building systems and tools. Maintenance technicians contribute to the overall functionality and safety of the facility.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC machinery, electrical systems, and pneumatic and hydraulic equipment


  • Troubleshoot and repair servo drives, motors, computer systems, NC controls, and high-voltage systems up to 480VAC 3-phase


  • Read work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment requiring repair or maintenance


  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts, mark defective areas, and advise supervisors of repair needs


  • Dismantle and reassemble machines for repair or maintenance, using hand tools, cranes, jacks, or hoists


  • Work with blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to diagnose and remedy mechanical and electronic problems


  • Develop, coordinate, and maintain TPM events in the facility, and coordinate maintenance and PM repairs with production master techs and team leaders


  • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information, and maintain inventory of machine parts and supplies




Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance




Core Competencies:



  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, CNC machines and controls


  • Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints


  • Ability to maintain mechanical machine tools including lathes, grinders, mills, drills, and machining centers


  • Ability to work with concepts when detailed prints, drawings, and specifications are not available


  • Exhibits teamwork skills


  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours continuously, and lift up to 35 lbs alone or 70 lbs with assistance, repeatedly over an 8-hour shift




Preferences:



  • High School Diploma or GED


  • 3+ years of experience in CNC machine maintenance


  • Technical degree in Industrial Maintenance or equivalent, preferred




Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements



  • This position will be based at our site in Sedalia, MO, with no anticipated travel.
