What to Expect
The Production Control Process Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated, goal-oriented Process Engineering Technician who can apply Industrial Engineering (IE) tools to optimize the flow of parts from the receipt, storage, picking & sequencing, to delivery, while maximizing the warehouse and yard utilization, reducing lead-times, and supporting lean as well as Cost of ownership targets. This position will be primarily focusing on activities in our External Warehouses & Warehouse on Wheels operations & associated processes.
What You'll Do
- Assist Process Engineers to validate, setup physical and systematic flow for materials and train operations on the new processes
- Maintaining Standard Work Instructions (SWI) documentation to increase overall efficiency of operations
- Support with optimizing warehouse & yard layouts, workflows & processes to improve throughput and enhance operational efficiency
- Maintain and update Inbound delivery schedules, Warehouse appointments, WOW volumes and window delivery schedules based on the latest production build plan
- Support with JIT & Last Mile Delivery flows for high volume production. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, cost per delivery, and receive discrepancies
- Gather & analyze operational data related to last mile delivery process, including delivery times, route efficiency & cost metrics and drive improvements
- Apply lean manufacturing practices including 5S, 5T, waste/loss identification, value stream mapping, work measurement, and problem-solving methodologies to optimize manufacturing and material flow efficiency thereby reducing operational costs
What You'll Bring
- Preferred Bachelor's Degree or postsecondary certificate in Industrial Engineering or equivalent field, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of lean engineering principles, last mile delivery operations and other Industrial Engineering (IE) tools
- Exemplary verbal, written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with moderate problem solving and data analysis skills. Experience with AutoCAD is an added advantage
- Schedule flexibility
- Capability to work under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines

Expected Compensation
$30.50 - $38.85/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
