DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Senior Retirement System Auditor will be responsible for planning, executing and leading complex audits of SERS systems, processes and controls. The work involves assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of operational controls, compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and alignment with SERS policies. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
- A work schedule beginning and ending between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM, inclusive with a half-hour or one-hour meal period will be considered, dependent on operational requirements. The requested work schedule may not end prior to 4:00 PM.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time with occasional on-site visits as needed. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Securities Accountant 2, Executive Senior Audit Specialist, or Audit Specialist 3 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of professional accounting, financial auditing, or information technology auditing experience, and a bachelor's degree that includes or is supplemented by 18 college credits in accounting, finance, or information technology; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes or is supplemented by 18 college credits in accounting, finance, or information technology.
