GENERAL FUNCTION

The Representative - Finishing Sales, is responsible for achieving sales objectives & managing customer accounts within an assigned geographic territory, with a specialized focus on EssilorLuxottica Instruments' finishing equipment portfolio (including edgers, blockers, tracers, & associated lab finishing solutions). This role partners closely with eye care professionals (ECPs), optical labs, & retail partners to support finishing workflow optimization, expand equipment utilization, & grow product adoption. The position requires in-depth understanding of finishing technology, competitive offerings, equipment installation considerations, & practice/lab operational needs. The Representative - Finishing Sales, serves as a subject matter expert, helping customers improve accuracy, efficiency, & profitability through EssilorLuxottica's finishing solutions.

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Build & maintain strong relationships with ECPs, finishing labs, & retail optical partners to grow finishing equipment sales & market share.
    * Prioritize accounts based on finishing equipment opportunity, operational expansion, upgrade cycles, & customer technology readiness.
    * Maintain an active pipeline of equipment opportunities (replacements, upgrades, new installations), aligned with territory & company sales objectives.
    * Conduct thorough needs assessments focused on practice/lab workflow, finishing capacity, error reduction, & production efficiency improvements.
    * Deliver high-impact product demonstrations for finishing systems, clearly communicating technical value, cost savings, workflow benefits, & differentiation.
    * Partner cross-functionally with Service, Field Engineers, & Customer Success to ensure seamless installations, training coordination, & post-sale support.
    * Maintain accurate CRM documentation including pipeline, demos, proposals, installations, & service/customer feedback.
    * Represent Essilor Instruments at trade shows, hands-on finishing workshops, & educational events; recommend additional opportunities for lead generation.
    * Provide finishing-focused customer insights & competitive intelligence to product, service, & commercial teams.
    * Execute disciplined territory management including cold calling, on-site equipment evaluations, & proactive identification of finishing upgrade opportunities.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • MS/BS degree required.
    * Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably with capital equipment or technical products.
    * Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    * Strong technical aptitude with the ability to learn & demonstrate ophthalmic finishing equipment.
    * Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical features into customer value.
    * Strong territory, customer, & time-management skills with high integrity, responsiveness, & accountability.
    * Ability to travel up to 80% for customer visits, demos, installations, & events.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Experience selling ophthalmic finishing equipment or related lab/practice technology.
    * Knowledge of retail optical & lab finishing workflows, equipment installation requirements, & customer operational challenges.
    * Established relationships within the ophthalmic finishing/optical lab community.
    * Experience working with CRM platforms & structured sales processes.

Pay Range:70,303.87-88,032.50
