Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom data visualizations using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks or libraries.
- Build interactive visualization components within Palantir Foundry using Slate, including custom layouts, embedded visual elements, and user-driven interactions.
- Translate analytical outputs and datasets into clear, mission-focused visual narratives.
- Collaborate with data engineers to understand data structures, transformations, and performance considerations.
- Implement responsive and accessible UI patterns aligned with usability and Section 508 / WCAG standards where applicable.
- Optimize visualization performance for large or complex datasets.
- Participate in requirements discussions to advise on visualization feasibility, design tradeoffs, and technical approach.
- Document visualization components and patterns to support reuse and long-term maintainability.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical, analytical, or design-related field or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience developing custom, web-based data visualizations.
- Strong proficiency in:
--HTML, CSS, JavaScript
--Modern JS frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Vue, or similar)
- Experience building custom visual components (not just configuring off-the-shelf BI tools).
- Experience working with complex datasets and collaborating with data engineering teams.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred / Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Palantir Foundry, particularly Slate (or similar embedded visualization frameworks).
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Vega, ECharts, or similar).
- Experience in federal, DoD, or GovCon environments.
- Understanding of UX/UI best practices for analytical applications.
- Active clearance or ability to obtain one (if applicable to contract).

Salary: $115,000.00 + dependent on education and experience

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
