JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Penn State Outreach Marketing Team is looking for a detail-oriented, strategic thinker who will assist with our social media marketing content and analytics. This team member will assist in overseeing the scheduling of content for numerous social media channels and the Penn State Outreach blog. This team member will also work to identify efficiencies within Outreach social media channels and analyze data to drive future content decisions associated with social media. This position would require 15-20 hours per week and will be mostly remote. Responsibilities * Develop and maintain a social media content calendar for Penn State Outreach using the Sprout Social platform. * Pull and analyze social media data from Sprout Social and other platform reporting tools to provide data-driven recommendations for future social media strategy decisions. * Meet regularly with team members to gain insights on their strategies and look for opportunities for further integration. * Attend Content Team Meetings and interface with Outreach Communications team members for additional news story content highlights to feature on social media channels. Requirements * Previous experience or coursework in marketing and management * General understanding of social media for businesses and brands. * Familiarity with social media scheduling software. * Familiarity with paid social media opportunities. * Organized and detail-oriented. * Strong oral and written communication skills * Strong work ethic BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
