Job Description
PCG is looking for talented students to join our 2026 Summer Internship Program at our Corporate Headquarters in Lenexa, KS! This is a full-time paid internship supporting our Financial Operations Department during the summer of 2026.
Applicants for the Summer program should be able to commit to a 10-week internship, Monday through Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm.
This role is responsible for assisting with the following:
Financial Analysis
- Analyze the company's financial performance through preparation and review of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
- Communicate financial results to key stakeholders
- Develop an understanding of the main drivers of performance
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts by working with stakeholders within the business and understanding project flows and timelines
Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
Ad Hoc Projects
- Participate in special finance projects and initiatives as needed, providing valuable contributions to the team
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, Contract in Progress (CIP) meetings, pre-job set-up meetings, progress meetings, and project review meetings
Basic Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Completed basic/entry level Business Management and Financial Accounting courses
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Ability to work effectively in team environment
- Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
- Ability to work with cross-functional business partners
- Ability to multitask and engage critical thinking & problem-solving skills
Preferred Requirements
- Preferred Junior or Senior level completion of program
- Currently pursuing a concentration in construction or related field
- Local to the Kansas City metro area preferred
