Job Description

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our company as a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. As part of our team, you oversee and document the receiving of packages, parcels, and supplies, store items in the appropriate areas, and prepare items for shipping. This is a position that requires a highly organized personality. You must pay close attention to small details while managing the logistics of a high volume of items entering and leaving the facility. You must be able to lift up to twenty (20) pounds unaided and be able to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout your shift. ($29.50/hr)



Responsibilities

    Accept and document packages and deliveries made to the facility
  • Inspect goods received for damage
  • Submit and track payments from guests and groups for shipping services
  • Manage relationships with group contacts and the CS Managers to provide the services needed for each group
  • Review and balance daily paperwork to postings to ensure accurate revenue recognition
  • Review resumes weekly to plan for the upcoming weeks group demand
  • Supervise and coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities while monitoring workflow accuracy and efficiency
  • Manage inventory control, vendor coordination, and compliance
  • Monitor workloads, adjust priorities based on operational timeliness
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving shipping and receiving related issues
  • Support the department managers with scheduling, shift planning, and operational coverage
  • Maintain and monitor inventory records, receiving logs, and shipping documents using system platforms
  • Ensure that the dock and storage areas are kept organized, secure, and compliant with standards
  • Generate and submit shipping and receiving financial reports and other departmental metrics
  • Assist with documentation and preparation for audits, internal reviews, and other processes
  • Distribute products to other departments as specified
  • Store items received in appropriate storage areas, documenting any changes
  • Track inventory & keep accurate records
  • Monitor and Maintain the receiving dock and package storeroom
  • Prepare items for shipping, noting item contents, delivery methods, and other logistical details
  • Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies as they arise
  • Maintain a clearly organized workspace


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Prior experience in a shipping and receiving position required
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with drivers and vendors
  • Proficiency with basic computer programs, such as Birchstreet, Opera, Alice App, and Outlook
  • Utilizing Opera to post shipping and handling charges to guests and groups
  • Ability to use Electric Power Jack
  • Physical strength and stamina to lift, carry, and unpack up to 70 lbs. throughout entire shift
