Job Purpose:

Process domestic and international wire transfers received via the telephone, fax, email, on-line, or interdepartmental in accordance with Wire Transfer Policy, department policy and procedures, and the Bank Secrecy Act, as well as, other applicable laws and regulations.

Job Duties:

  • Process domestic and international wire transfer requests received by telephone, fax, email, and/or internet in accordance with policy, procedures, and within deadlines.
  • Review in-person wires initiated by front line personnel before sending.
  • Processes all wires received through the Federal Reserve Bank by crediting the appropriate bank account.
  • Reviews wire requests validating wire instructions and authorizations.
  • Performs verify callback processing to validate the authenticity of an outgoing transaction.
  • Reviews instructions with the client during the callback process.
  • Determines the disposition of transactions received from other financial institutions or clients ensuring accurate and timely processing by following established procedures that meet audit and security standards
  • Monitor and/or ensure compliance with Federal and State laws and regulations; including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering, in addition to, Bank operation policies and procedures.
  • Process wire fraud alerts generated by fraud monitoring software.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to the bank personnel as well as business and retail customers.
  • Will perform special projects as assigned.

Education, Job Skills and Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business related field of study or equivalent work experience required.
  • 1-2 years banking experience required.
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently or as a team.
  • Demonstrate an ability to navigate Peoples' systems, software, and an understanding of policies and procedures.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills.
  • Above average communication skills - listening, written and verbal.
  • Must be able to effectively handle repetitive tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Must be composed under pressure and demonstrate ability to effectively handle conflict.
  • Demonstrate PEBO values at all times.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Demonstrate professional conduct and demeanor at all times.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in business related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 1 year banking experience.
