Job Summary

Responsible for directing and managing the efficient daily operations of a high-volume, multi-shift manufacturing facility. Implements an operations strategy that encourages continuous improvement in productivity, on-time delivery, quality, safety, and team engagement. Promotes a Culture of Contribution and excellent customer experience through achieving site and organization KPIs. Collaborates with Dorman cross-functional teams to execute manufacturing strategies, ensure seamless system integration with processes, provide effective labor planning and training, and accurately measure results. [Typically manages a <500K square foot facility and a team of fewer than 400 contributors.] Leads and develops a team responsible for receiving, warehousing, and shipping products.

Primary Duties

* Develop and execute operations strategy with an emphasis on continuous improvement and supporting our Culture of Contribution.
* Leads initiatives that enhance current processes in efficiency, material flow, labor productivity, quality, safety, and space utilization.
* Partners with other functional areas of the business to execute and deliver best-in-class service.
* Achieves financial objectives by preparing a labor budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
* Drive efficiency through reduction of variability, waste elimination, and optimized resource allocation.
* Models, ensures, and maintains direct, productive, and positive relationships between leadership and contributors.
* Review performance metrics, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to improve profitability.
* Develops talent through coaching, empowering, and mentoring direct reports.
* Responsible for implementing all company policies and procedures, ensuring company values are upheld at all levels across the site.
* Serve as a visible and influential change agent, effectively overcoming resistance and fostering a culture of accountability.
* Implement enterprise-level operational changes, systems, and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
* Promote operational discipline through standard work and adherence to best practices.
* Ensures the operation complies with all Federal and state laws and requirements related to hazardous materials, health and safety, and other risk areas.
* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

* Strong strategic thinking and execution abilities.
* Experience in multiple industries/companies.
* Strong background in manufacturing systems (i.e., SAP, OEE, Root cause analysis, ERP, etc.)
* Experienced in project management and demonstrated success in process improvement.
* Demonstrates a proven history of building, developing, and aligning internal resources with external customer expectations.
* Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong leadership and employee engagement skills
* High standard of integrity and reliability; able to build trust and loyalty with others.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), capability to communicate at all levels of the organization.
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
* Familiarity with SAP is a plus.
* Experience in a Lean Six Sigma manufacturing or sourcing/distribution environment is preferred.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams.
* Proven ability to lead, engage, motivate, and develop leaders in a high-energy environment.

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or 7+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience directly managing people.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $93,100.00 to $138,500.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.

U.S. employees are entitled to paid holidays, floating holidays, and paid time off starting in their first year of employment depending on hire date.
