Summary

Spire is seeking an Intern, Supply Chain to work in our St. Louis office. The Intern will support supplier management and supply chain data analytics and reporting work. This position will be responsible for assisting with data validation, data sourcing, analysis, related system management, testing, presentation preparation and review, and updating and/or maintaining reporting and metrics.

Duties and Responsibilities



  • Creates and maintains new records and change requests related to master data for Supply Chain, including diverse supplier and item data records, ensures timely and accurate processing of requests
  • Applies and executes standard master data management concepts and techniques
  • Meets data cleansing requirements utilizing standard processes and tools
  • Performs routine reviews and processes expense reporting transactions, both credit card and out-of-pocket
  • Responds to internal and external requests for supplier and expense reporting information
  • Reports on Supply Chain key performance indicators
  • Provides miscellaneous Supply Chain reporting
  • Works effectively with the team to identify process and system issues and enhancements
  • Assists with testing of system solutions, efficiencies and enhancements
  • Assists with and develops Supply Chain standards, procedures and training materials and performs training for the business
  • Provides support for supplier relationship management, assists in the design and deployment of supplier scorecards
  • Performs job duties in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 internal controls
  • All other duties as assigned



Essential Characteristics and Competencies

None

Required Education



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply management, finance, accounting, or computer science.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience working in the source to pay process preferred
  • Preferred Tableau Certification: Certified Associate or Certified Professional
  • Data management and/or analysis designations
