The Fred Hutch Travel and Transportation Department is seeking a full-time Program Assistant. This position provides administrative and operational support to the Manager, assisting with the implementation of departmental policies and procedures while completing routine and special assignments or projects. The Program Assistant works under general supervision and exercises sound judgment in carrying out assigned responsibilities in accordance with department policies and procedures.



Responsibilities

The primary focus of the Program Assistant is the issuance and administration of parking permits, ORCA cards, ID badges, and brass keys. Additional responsibilities may include:

    Assist Manager in the day-to-day implementation of department policies and procedures.
  • Complete routine and special assignments or projects as assigned.
  • Assist internal customers with transportation-related needs and inquiries.
  • Serve as department liaison, and escalating non-routine issues to the Manager as appropriate.
  • Collect information and prepare reports on department performance for Manager review.
  • Maintain accurate and complete departmental records, files, and filing systems in compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform administrative duties to include: outlook e-mail correspondence, data entry, requisition submittals to purchase goods through Center procurement.
  • Answer department phone and provide information within the department guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduation or GED.
  • Minimum of one year experience in program specialty or a related field.
  • Proficiency in administrative support functions, including telephone reception, organization, and record-keeping.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a customer service-related job.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $23.33 to $33.21 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
