Worthington Enterprises is looking for a hard-working student to assist in its Treasury Operations function. The internship involves data analysis, management reporting, and various ad hoc treasury and financial tasks. The Treasury Analytics Intern participates in our Company-wide Summer Internship Experience that helps college students develop professional skills. During this 12-week program, interns spend approximately 80 percent of their time completing a business-driven project. These assignments could range from generating ideas for product improvement to creating new processes to developing a standardized playbook for a specific role within the Company. Upon graduation, each intern will present their project to their manager, mentors, and members of senior leadership. Interns will spend the remainder of their time receiving additional on-the-job experience and classroom learning. Classes will feature topics from general business etiquette to resume writing, interviewing and presenting with confidence. In keeping with Our Philosophy, the program will also feature a community service component. Interns are based at our Company headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. This program has been highly successful at giving valuable experience to students as well as providing potential long-term opportunities within the company. Responsibilities: * Optimize working capital through data-driven analysis of receivables, payables, and cash conversion dynamics to improve liquidity and operational efficiency. * Build dashboards and reporting: Create dashboards (Excel, Alteryx, Tableau) to track cash flow, aging, deductions, and payment performance. * Support Order-to-Cash process optimization: Analyze billing, collections, cash application, and deduction resolution data to identify automation opportunities. * Support Purchase-to-Pay process optimization: Review AP invoice flow, payment timing, vendor terms, and exception rates to improve efficiency and DPO. * Assist with process automation initiatives Help design and test automation solutions using tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, and RPA. * Explore AI use cases such as anomaly detection, predictive cash forecasting, etc. * Data cleansing and integration: Prepare, clean, and combine data from multiple systems. * Ad-hoc analytical projects for treasury leadership as needed. Skills/Abilities: * Possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to execute multiple and complex projects concurrently using established processes. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, along with demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams. * Ability to understand business systems (processes), the data produced by them (i.e., how did the data get produced and is it a valid representation of the outcome being studied?), and how these data may be exposed and engineered to best serve the business. * Must exhibit a strong aptitude and drive to continually learn about targeted functional areas to implement, automate, operationalize models to day-to-day decision making. * Ability to work on-site at our corporate office in Columbus, Ohio. Education/Training: * Pursuing a degree in Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science or related field of study with a passion for Finance. * Preferred: Entering junior or senior year of college. * Demonstrated ability in building robust, engaging, and impactful dashboards in common data visualization technologies (e.g., Tableau). * Demonstrated ability to automate data preparation and analytics using tools like Alteryx. * 40 hours a week during the Summer of 2026. | |
