Job Summary:


Responsible for end to end payroll processing and related accounting functions including biweekly payroll calculation accruals and reconciliations for compensation benefits and employee liabilities. Oversees annual accruals for profit sharing bonuses and 401K employer match as well as year-end true ups for PTO vacation and holiday. Manages payroll reporting contract employee invoicing and reconciliation of payroll related balance sheet accounts supports year end payroll activities such as W2 preparation system transitions and benefit changes while collaborating cross functionally to ensure accuracy compliance and continuous development of payroll and accounting expertise



Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions of the Job:



  • Manage annual profit sharing calculations and accruals maintaining accurate and audit ready Balance Sheet reconciliation for the accrued profit sharing account.
  • Lead end to end calculation and accrual of annual bonuses ensuring accurate and timely Balance Sheet reconciliation of the accrued bonus account.
  • Own the calculation and accrual of the annual employee 401K match and maintain full Balance Sheet reconciliation for the Retirement Match Payable account.
  • Manage Balance Sheet reconciliation and year end true up for Vacation, PTO and Holiday Pay liability accounts ensuring accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Process biweekly payroll including daily electronic batches manual time current entry travel pay calculations ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Prepare and compile payroll reports reconciling all payroll liability and receivable accounts and providing payroll information as requested.
  • Manage employee contract hours and invoices.
  • Manage year end payroll activities including W2 preparation system changeover and implementation of new benefits.
  • Assist with bank and check reconciliations
  • Collaborate with others (including in person) to proactively develop broad-based personal knowledge, skills, and abilities towards key JOA competencies.



Job Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of TCM (Workwise) and Ceridian software a plus
  • Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications with emphasis in Excel and Word.
  • Requires mathematical skills that require the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide
  • Must have the ability to develop, write and follow procedures
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers, external auditors, and outside regulatory agencies
