Velosity Forest Lake is searching for a Project Manager to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. The Project Manager will manage key initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing processes; develops and implements project plans; builds team ownership and commitment to project plan.

This is an on-site position supporting our Forest Lake location.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

The typical pay range for this role: $91,000 - $136,000 per year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Preferred Bachelors degree in Engineering
  • Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
  • 2-6 years experience in Project Management.

Essential Duties:
  • Delegate and manage tasks among team members as appropriate to their skill level and risk to the project.
  • Effectively lead team ensuring good cross-functional communications and provide input to functional managers on team and team member performance.
  • Communicate with personnel in various locations and all management levels.
  • Liaison between the team and the project sponsors; leads phase and business reviews, project meeting. minutes, issues log, metrics, and other key communications.
  • Identify resources required for assigned project activities and build teams to complete the activities
  • Identify and coordinate all activities required to complete the project or task through the team and ensure its timely completion ensuring current company policies and practices are followed and accurate documentation is kept.
  • Develop project budgets, resource allocations and timelines.
  • Serve customers through OTD and quality of project deliverables.
  • Generate high-level plans, communications, and schedules on larger projects requiring prioritization and workload adjustments.
  • The ability to assess business risks and prioritize tasks among many activities will be a key skill to have for this position.
  • Identify, communicate, and manage moderate levels of technical risk.

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 10 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment. Must have dexterity with hands.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.
  • Travel up to 10% of the time.

Work Environment:

This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control. This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop.

Protective Clothing Required:

When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
