SUMMARY

The Talent Acquisition (TA) Operations Supervisor is a key role within the TA Operations team, responsible for overseeing the TA Coordinator group and driving operational excellence across the recruiting function. This role supports the scalability of the TA team by improving processes, enhancing candidate experience, and ensuring effective use of recruiting tools and systems.

As Mortenson's TA function continues to grow, this position will take ownership of tactical execution, team oversight and internal tool optimization. This role will ensure recruiting tools are effectively adopted and utilized across the TA team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Team Oversight
    Hire, onboard, supervise, coach, and support the TA Coordinator team to ensure consistent execution of recruiting processes and high-quality candidate interactions.

  • Operational Efficiency

    Partner with TA Supervisors (leads) and stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements that streamline recruiting operations and scale with business growth.

  • Candidate Experience Oversight
    Lead efforts to improve enterprise-wide candidate experience, including managing the candidate inquiry inbox and ensuring timely, consistent communication.

  • Internal Vendor Tool Utilization
    Act as the internal point of contact for TA-related tools and systems. Partner with the broader vendor management team to ensure tools are being used effectively, consistently, and in compliance with established standards.

  • Analytics & Insights
    Review and interpret enterprise-level recruiting metrics and trends. Provide actionable insights to improve performance, compliance, and tool utilization.

Examples of Tasks:

  • Conducting 1:1 meetings, team meetings, and coaching sessions with TA Coordinators.

  • Collaborating with TA Leads to manage updates and changes to recruiting processes.

  • Preparing internal materials and agendas for quarterly and bi-annual reviews of TA tools and systems.

  • Reviewing SLA performance, recruiter tool usage, and other key operational metrics.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree Human Resources Management, or a related field.

  • 7+ years recruiting/HR experience or a combination of higher education and experience.

  • Previous experience coaching and training team members

  • Experience with ATS and HRIS platforms.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

  • Proactive and adaptable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience supporting internal adoption and usage of recruiting tools and systems.

  • Previous experience leading teams of talent acquisition professional preferred.

  • Previous experience leading diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives preferred.

Certifications, a plus

  • PHR or SHRM-CP

  • Certifications in TA technologies or data analytics tools

  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, CAPM)

The base pay range for this role is $103,200 - $129,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
