About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Customer Demand Planner to join our team at Pursuit Aerospace. The Customer Demand Planner will own customer-level demand planning for complex, long lead-time aerospace programs and provide customer-specific insights into the Integrated Demand Review and SIOP processes. This role ensures external customer signals are validated, contractual commitments are understood, and demand is translated into a credible, enterprise-wide unconstrained demand plan supporting manufacturing execution and capacity planning.

Location: This position can be hybrid with the office based in Manchester, CT or South Windsor, CT.

Responsibilities:

  • Own customer-level demand across the enterprise for assigned aerospace customers and programs, consolidating demand across sites, part numbers, and engine platforms
  • Analyze customer-driven demand volatility including rate changes, backlog movements, forecast bias, lead-time shifts, and contractual adjustments; quantify risks to manufacturing plans and inventory
  • Validate customer demand signals by reconciling customer inputs, open orders, contractual terms, and historical performance
  • Act as the enterprise demand planning interface for assigned customers during SIOP Integrated Business Planning cycles
  • Surface customer-specific demand risks and insights to the Consensus Review, supporting escalation and trade-off discussions
  • Partner with Commercial teams to understand demand drivers and ensure customer inputs are interpreted consistently across the network
  • Collaborate with Demand Planning Director and Demand Planning Analyst to ensure customer demand is accurately reflected in the enterprise unconstrained demand signal
  • Utilize program, customer, and external data sources and planning applications to forecast engine build programs and long-range demand

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in demand planning, production planning, or operations planning within manufacturing, aerospace, or complex industrial environments
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time bases without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
  • Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar), demand planning tools, and advanced Excel modeling
  • Strong analytical experience working with customer demand in multi-site networks.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret customer behavior, contractual demand signals, and order patterns, translating them into credible forecasts.
  • Familiarity with long-term agreements (LTAs), backlog-driven demand, and program lifecycle management
  • Experience working with long lead-time materials, constrained capacity, and make-to-order / make-to-print environments
  • Understanding of SIOP processes in regulated manufacturing environments

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to have prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 pounds.
  • Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
  • Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to accommodate priorities, deadlines, and schedules.
