Product Development Engineer Maple Grove, MN $46.50 per hour Work Mode: Onsite 4 days per week Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. Job Overview We are seeking a Product Development Engineer with strong materials, polymers, and biomaterials experience to support the development of innovative products and processes. This role focuses on engineering design, testing, data analysis, and documentation for projects of moderate complexity within a regulated environment. The ideal candidate is technically driven, collaborative, and comfortable working independently in both laboratory and cross-functional settings. Key Responsibilities Participate in product design and development, materials testing, and process development activities Plan and execute engineering tests and experiments, including material characterization Compile, analyze, and interpret operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures Troubleshoot product, material, and process issues during development and testing Prepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering documentation Collaborate with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing teams Support quality systems by ensuring compliance with all applicable procedures and standards Contribute innovative ideas, concepts, and design improvements; submit idea disclosures Provide guidance or training to technicians as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry/Biochemistry, or related field 2-4 years of relevant experience (0-2 years with MS degree) 2-3 years of polymers or biomaterials experience Hands-on experience working in a wet lab environment Knowledge of analytical techniques for material characterization Strong written, analytical, and problem-solving skills This is an excellent opportunity for a materials or product development engineer seeking impactful work in Maple Grove, MN at a competitive hourly rate.
