Description

ESSENTIAL PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Liaison to new staff; onboarding, benefits communication, and new hire processes;
  • Facilitate employee background checks, transportation background checks and pre-employment screening;
  • Lead certified & support staff licensure;
  • Ensure compliance of employee evaluation cycles and completion;
  • Staff retirement communication and processes;
  • Facilitate FMLA processes;
  • Process workers compensation and unemployment claims;
  • Facilitate student teacher assignments & strategic partnerships with higher education;
  • Manage the district volunteer program;
  • Preparation of board memos;
  • Creation of employee profiles in Skyward Qmlativ;
  • Management of Raptor Technology System;
  • Cross train with other human resources staff to provide departmental coverage in case of a coworker's absence;
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time; occasionally required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; consistently and repetitively operates a computer and other office machinery such as calculation devices, copy machine and/or computer printer; regularly required to communicate and exchange accurate information with administration, staff, and the public.

Qualifications

  • Education: Required - High school diploma or its equivalent; Associates Degree or higher in a related field is preferred
  • Experience with onboarding new employees, workers compensation, FMLA and employee benefits preferred
  • Advanced working knowledge of computers including, but not limited to, utilization of databases, Gmail, Google Docs, Slides and Calendar, Microsoft Office Suite, the internet, and other related applications. General working knowledge of standard office equipment
