Job Description

Based out of any AFS office, the SharePoint Administrator is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing modern SharePoint solutions within Microsoft SharePoint Online environment. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance the firm's SharePoint environment. The SharePoint Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective use of SharePoint Online technologies to meet the firm's business needs.

  • Create, configure, and maintain Microsoft SharePoint Online sites, custom forms, webparts, and flows to meet business requirements and optimize user experience.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for SharePoint solutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to administer user permissions and manage sites and content in the SharePoint environment using AvePoint or similar tool.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SharePoint issues, including interacting with end-users and resolving SharePoint related support issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest SharePoint trends, best practices, and industry standards to continually improve the SharePoint Online environment.
  • Train end-users and promote advanced features across different user groups. Advise users on how to effectively utilize SharePoint features and functionalities.

To support the firm's modernization and intelligent automation initiatives, the SharePoint Administrator will also:

  • Integrate and support AI-enhanced capabilities in SharePoint Online, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and related intelligent services.
  • Configure and maintain AI-driven content management and discovery features such as SharePoint Syntex/Content AI, automated tagging, metadata extraction, and document classification.
  • Partner with IT leadership and security teams to ensure AI features comply with governance, privacy, and data protection standards.
  • Develop or support AI-powered automations using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Microsoft Graph-based integrations.
  • Monitor and optimize performance and accuracy of AI-enabled solutions, ensuring they add measurable value to business processes.
  • Educate end-users and stakeholders on AI capabilities, limitations, and best practices within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-years' experience in SharePoint development and administration required.
  • Experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred.
  • Experience with AI-enabled SharePoint integrations is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, including page design, web parts, site features, security model etc.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Online administration through Azure SharePoint Administrator role and PowerShell.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint Online process automation using PowerShell.
  • Strong knowledge with the following tools: AvePoint, Power Platform, Power Apps, PowerShell, Power BI Service, SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint governance and best practices.
  • Experience with SharePoint migration, site to site migration and content migration projects.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint development frameworks such as SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
  • Experience with SQL Server development.
  • Experience with Power BI Service. Both Paginated and Modern Interactive Reports.

This is an exempt position.

The anticipated good-faith base salary range for this position is:

  • NY: $150,000 to $206,000 per year.

Your exact offer will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, your experience, skills, and overall qualifications. We also review compensation regularly against industry benchmarks and performance outcomes, so you can grow your career here with confidence-knowing your pay recognizes both your impact and our commitment to an equitable approach.

In addition to a competitive base salary, certain positions are eligible for a comprehensive performance-based bonus, payable monthly or annually.
