Positions in this function are responsible for investigating, recovering and resolving all types of claims as well as recovery and resolution for health plans, commercial customers and government entities. May include initiating telephone calls to members, providers and other insurance companies to gather coordination of benefits data. Investigate and pursue recoveries and payables on subrogation claims and file management. Process recovery on claims. Ensure adherence to state and federal compliance policies, reimbursement policies and contract compliance. May conduct contestable investigations to review medical history. May monitor large claims including transplant cases.

This full-time ON-SITE position (40 hours/week) requires flexibility to work an 8-hour shift schedule between 8:00am - 5:00pm PST, Monday through Friday. Given business needs, occasional overtime may be necessary.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Open, sort, date stamp, count, scan and document in case management system the receipt of file correspondence, including revenue checks. Distribute correspondence to staff accordingly
  • Answer incoming phone calls in a polite and professional manner. Facilitate the handling of callers' requests for information. Route calls to other staff members; take and deliver accurate and complete messages as appropriate. Screen calls and initiate resolution of questions/issues without consultation with others
  • Assist staff and/or the management team with case investigation, research or development as needed
  • Other Administrative duties as assigned by manager
  • Moderate work experience within own function
  • Some work is completed without established procedures
  • Basic tasks are completed without review by others
  • Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ year of office experience having utilized a telephone and computer as primary work instruments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook (email management), Word (documentation purposes) and Excel (create spreadsheets)
  • Resides within a reasonable commuting distance to the office at 2720 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV
  • Ability to work full-time, ON-SITE Monday - Friday between 8:00am - 5:00pm PST including the flexibility to work occasional overtime given the business need

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with databases and database searches

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.00 - $25.05 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
