FlexStaff is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) for our Client, a specialized agency providing comprehensive, individualized services for children with special needs (preschool through grade 12) and support for school districts, located in Suffolk County, NY.

The successful candidate will lead functional behavior assessments, develop and implement positive behavior support plans, supervise paraprofessionals, and collaborate with teachers, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and family teams to promote meaningful learning and decreased challenging behaviors.

Qualifications:



  • BCBA credential (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) in good standing.
  • Master's degree or higher in behavior analysis, psychology, education, or related field.
  • Eligibility and/or current eligibility for state licensure or certification as required.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing ABA across school-based settings (preschool-12th grade) and collaborating with districts.
  • Strong data-analytics skills and proficiency with ABA data collection tools (e.g., multiple data sheets, graphing software).
  • Knowledge of IDEA, IEP processes, 504 plans, and educational collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with diverse populations and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to manage multiple cases and meetings.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice.


Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited:



  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify behavioral concerns and develop individualized behavior intervention plans grounded in applied behavior analysis.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to foster positive behavior change and enhance clients' quality of life.
  • Track progress and adjust intervention plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to support the implementation of behavioral strategies.
  • Maintain precise medical and educational records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide training and supervision to staff on behavioral therapy techniques and best practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in behavioral health, special education, and relevant terminology.
  • Participate in school-based team meetings (including CSE) and assist administrators as needed.
