Front Load Driver

Are you a safetyconscious driver looking for a stable, fulltime career with great pay, benefits, and the chance to be home every night? Pasco West New Port Richey, a Waste Connections Company, is looking for a reliable and motivated Front Load Driver to join our team in New Port Richey, FL.

Previous waste industry experience is a big plus-but not required. We're happy to train the right person!

The schedule is Monday-Friday, 45-55 hours per week. Must be able to work holidays.

The starting pay is $25/hr with annual pay increases and bonus opportunities.

• Ability to safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste. Waste experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
• Ability to perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
• Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
• Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

• Extensive physical activity requiring strenuous work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.
• Work environment involves exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts, requiring adherence to basic safety precautions.
• Exposure to outside weather, including wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate.

• Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement minimum.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience.
• Basic knowledge of truck components to complete pre and posttrip inspections.
