Overview

The Product Marketing Director for the Retail Business Unit is responsible for developing and managing the strategic marketing objectives for Cotiviti's business and financial solutions portfolio, including but not limited to, merchandise recovery audits, AP audits for commercial market, error prevention, and contract compliance. This portfolio includes a mix of services and software solutions. This role focuses on understanding the market landscape, competition, and buyer personas to create and successfully execute a market plan, support effective product launches, develop and maintain a portfolio of enablement materials, and drive lead generation and sales acceleration efforts.

The Product Marketing Director will collaborate across internal teams-including marketing, product management, product operations, and go-to-market-to deliver compelling messaging, tools, and marketing programs aligned with organizational revenue goals.



Responsibilities

Annual Planning & Strategy

    Create an annual marketing plan for the business and financial solutions portfolio that illustrates an understanding of business objectives and the marketing strategies needed to support. Obtaining the necessary inputs and collaboration from the BU, GTM, and other teams.
  • Conduct regular market and competitive analysis to inform strategic planning, ensuring that the marketing approach remains aligned with evolving industry trends and competitor activities.

Product Launch & Messaging

  • Partner with the product team and other stakeholders to effectively launch new products in accordance with our ready-to-market and ready-to-sell processes.
  • Ensure product messaging is competitively differentiated, compelling, and clear.
  • Collaborate with marketing and go-to-market teams to develop and execute launch plans that maximize awareness and adoption of new offerings.

Sales Enablement & Training

  • Develop go-to-market enablement materials and training to guide and support the sales and client engagement teams as they engage with the market and support pipeline development.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to regularly assess and update enablement resources, ensuring alignment with evolving market needs, product updates, and feedback from the field.

Marketing Collateral Development

  • Draft and maintain marketing materials such as brochures, fact sheets, presentations, videos, website content, etc., to ensure understanding of concepts and strategies surronding the solution area.
  • Regularly review and update marketing collateral to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current branding and messaging guidelines.

Thought Leadership & Events

  • Establish relationships with internal and external subject matter experts and work with them to develop webinar presentations, event sessions, market briefings, and more.
  • Develop strategy, guide presentation development, and collaborate with the events team for successful execution of tradeshows and conferences related to appropriate solutions areas.

Campaigns & Lead Generation

  • Conceive and drive marketing campaigns that introduce Cotiviti to new audiences, increase engagement with content, target key accounts with tailored messaging, and generate/assist opportunities with marketing qualified leads.
  • Partner with marketing ops to analyze campaign performance metrics and adjust strategies to optimize ROI, ensuring continuous improvement of lead and demand generation efforts

Sales Support & Proposals

  • Provide needed support for RFPs, lead proactive proposals, and additional programs needed to support sales initiatives ensuring alignment with current solution offerings and market positioning.

Other Responsibilities:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA a plus
  • 8-10 years of experience in various marketing disciplines, including demonstrable ability to design integrated lead-generation campaigns with proven results.
  • Experience in retail, the commercial market, or recovery audit services a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to write and present concisely and effectively
  • Exceptional project management skills with impeccable attention to quality, accuracy, and consistency
  • Ability to work across the organization and collaborate at all levels.
  • Experience managing and motivating others while working independently within a self-directed environment.
  • Must be reliable, driven and dedicated to prioritization, delivering fast turnarounds and high-quality results under deadlines.
  • Ability to travel for in person conferences and internal meetings ~20%.
  • Pragmatic Marketing certification a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Must be able to provide high-speed internet access/ connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environment conditions expected.

Base compensation ranges from $135,000 to $166,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
