Overview

The End User Computing Sr. Quality Engineer leads the design, delivery, and operational excellence of SCE's end-user technology ecosystem, including Windows and macOS laptops, desktops, iPads, iOS mobile devices, and the full Microsoft 365 application suite (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote), along with collaboration platforms such as SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Exchange Online. The role integrates closely with endpoint management platforms (Intune for Windows, JAMF for macOS/iOS) and core identity and security tools (Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Purview).



Responsibilities

    This position ensures EUC platforms are reliable, observable, secure, intuitive, and aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
  • The Sr. Quality Engineer owns end-to-end service quality and performance by embedding monitoring, telemetry, automation, and Digital Experience (DEX) analytics into design, operations, and continuous improvement cycles.
  • The role proactively identifies system and service issues, analyzes experience and performance trends, and drives corrective actions to improve stability, reduce defects, enhance usability, and elevate customer satisfaction across the enterprise.


Qualifications

  • Experience working in IT Operations within a managed services environment, including oversight of vendor delivery, service quality, and operational performance.
  • Strong understanding of engineering disciplines and practices, especially related to end user technology, platform architectures, operational frameworks, and product lifecycle management.
  • Ability to present complex technical material clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership and business partners.
  • Deep understanding of end-user computing technologies including Windows, macOS, iOS/iPadOS, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), endpoint management platforms such as Intune and JAMF, and endpoint security tools such as Defender for Endpoint. Deployment of Cyber tools to end user computing devices and ensure seamless operations.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery approaches.
  • Proficiency analyzing defect trends, incident reports, and engineering quality metrics to drive improvements in application stability, reliability, and user experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex technical designs, identify gaps, validate standards compliance, and ensure readiness for IT Operations.
  • Understanding of cloud collaboration platforms and integration patterns across M365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive.
  • Strong familiarity with identity, access, and security controls including Entra ID, Conditional Access, data loss prevention, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software delivery approaches.
  • Proficiency analyzing defect trends, incident reports, and engineering quality metrics to drive improvements in application stability, reliability, and user experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate complex technical designs, identify gaps, validate standards compliance, and ensure readiness for IT Operations.

  • Strong familiarity with identity, access, and security controls including Entra ID, Conditional Access, data loss prevention, and compliance standards.
  • Background supporting large enterprise environments integrating identity, security, cloud, and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience designing or validating device health metrics, DEX instrumentation, and monitoring/observability frameworks.
  • Hands-on familiarity with endpoint analytics, networking fundamentals, and integration patterns between EUC platforms and cloud environments.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
