Overview

NV5 Geospatial is actively recruiting Help Desk Support Engineers. Strong capabilities providing technical support for JIRA, GitLab, and other IT management tools to ensure users receive prompt issue resolution and training are required. The Help Desk Engineers will be based remotely supporting US Southern Command. US citizenship, along with the ability to successfully pass a basic background check for access to US military bases, is required for employment. While no clearance is required, a Secret or higher clearance is preferred.

Work Setting:

    This role offers flexibility in location, with the option to work from any NV5 Regional Office or remotely from home.
  • Potential travel up to 5-15% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and training for end-users of JIRA and GitLab, ensuring efficient system adoption and issue resolution.
  • Establish a structured workflow for tracking Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence, integrating automated notifications and escalation procedures within JIRA.


Qualifications

Minimum Requriements:

  • Associates's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or three (3) years of equivalent experience in IT support.
  • Demonstrated experience resolving user access issues, troubleshooting software functionality, managing user access, supporting cloud-based IT applications, and providing technical training.
  • Demonstrated experience with IT help desk ticketing systems, remote desktop support, and incident response.
  • Strong customer service and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize complex project tasks.

Preferred:

  • CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation Certification, or Microsoft Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
  • Portuguese or Spanish language skills.
  • Experience with government IT programs and environments.

Clearance Requirement:

  • None required; Secret or higher preferred
