Validation Engineer Plano, Texas, United States - ams-OSRAM USA Inc. Your tasks Job description/tasks and responsibilities Assist post-silicon debug efforts to find root cause of issues using lab instruments (i.e. oscilloscope, function generator, smu, etc.) Assist characterization efforts in data collection and analysis across PVT Data analysis for spec generation Hardware schematic capture and layout Soldering Work with cross-functional teams (design, ATE, systems engineering, etc.) to ensure milestone completion and assist in resolving customer-related issues Be able to work in a fast-paced environment to meet critical schedule milestones Who we are looking for Education/ Required Experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (preferred, but other engineering degrees will be considered) Working knowledge of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, SMUs, etc. Familiarity with programming and/or scripting languages (Python, Labview, C/C++, etc.) Must be a self-starting team player with excellent communication skills who can work with minimal guidance Strong verbal and written English communication skills Self-organized and the ability multitask based on priorities Preferred Experience Experience with hardware/circuit design tools (i.e. Altium) Experience with National Instruments hardware and software (Labview and TestStand) Working knowledge of data analysis tools (i.e. Spotfire) Participated in silicon bring up and debug Working knowledge of FPGA coding ams OSRAM is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
