Position Summary: The Sr. Benefits Administrator is responsible for the strategic administration, development, and optimization of GESMN's employee benefit programs. This role will effectively communicate and report on access and usage of Goodwill-Easter Seals MN's (GESMN) employee benefit programs, including, but not limited to health and welfare plans, COBRA, and wellness programs. This position utilizes excellent customer service, efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement while performing duties and responsibilities in a timely manner, in accordance with established philosophies to achieve the overall GESMN health and wellness objectives. Day in the life: In a typical day, the Sr. Benefits Administrator... Benefits Administration:
- Develops and evaluates benefit strategies to align with organizational objectives, industry trends, and employee needs.
- Coordinates the administration of all benefit programs, including, but not limited to eligibility assessment, enrollment processing, and completing employee status changes.
- Creates and administers an annual benefit communication plan using organizational communication channels as appropriate.
- Implements annual benefit communication plan by coordinating, distributing, and providing timely information as scheduled.
- Regularly communicates benefit information to eligible employees. Assists employees and utilizes third party partner resources to guide them toward resources based on individual needs.
- Manages and coordinates the new hire, status change, and open enrollment processes. Ensures the accurate and timely entry and completion of enrollment in HRIS, Payroll, vendor, and related systems.
- Creates a strategic wellness plan and is responsible for administering the program and facilitating its initiatives.
- Performs day-to-day administration of the 401k plan, including general knowledge of the plan, communication to employees, and administrative tasks such as payroll reconciliation.
Job Pay & Perks:
- Pay range: $81,795-$99,784
- This is a flexible-hybrid role whose essential functions allow the employee to primarily work from a personal home office but also require the employee to work at a physical GESMN or partner facility as business needs require, sometimes with great urgency and little notice.

About You: Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Expert-level proficiency in benefits administration, including regulatory compliance and comprehensive program design.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate throughout the organization at all levels regarding individual benefits inquiries and requirements.
- Displays discretion in managing confidential information
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities for successful execution.
- General knowledge of federal and state benefit regulations.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite applications. Experience using Excel for formulas and VLOOKUP function.
Prior Experience & Education
- Minimum of 3-5 years of strategic benefits administration required.
- Experience using leading edge HRIS systems and benefits platforms.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or Certified Benefits preferred.
