Job Description: OFFICE LOCATION: Abilene, Texas, United States SCOPE/CONTACTS: Bank contacts include customers, officers and employees; outside Bank contacts include public accounting firms, trust clients, Internal Revenue Service, trust accounting software vendors, and other requesting information concerning trust activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Act as the Trust systems expert for all areas of trust: Administration, Investments, Compliance and Operations.
- The analyst responds to end-user questions by reviewing documentation or contacting the system vendor.
- The analyst works with technical staff on current systems modifications and new systems development.
- The analyst is responsible for testing modifications/development to ensure they meet defined requirements.
- The analyst will prepare, distribute, and present system documentation to end users in addition to preparing ad-hoc reports.
- The analyst must be able to assist in account balance and data reconciliation in situations where customers are being impacted and production is being delayed and assist in notifying technical staff.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Liaison: Investigate and evaluate production issues; communicate issues to developers/vendors. Advise end users of issue resolutions. Report system information to end-users. Possess extensive knowledge of trust accounting system as well as be familiar with interfacing applications. Investigate and maintain on-going relationships with users, developers and vendors. Identify and document business needs.
- Project management: Assist with the management of large, complex multi-phased projects; document, analyze and communicate possible benefits and drawbacks of each project; make recommendations; manage project activities to ensure implementation and high quality results are achieved.
- Ad hoc reporting: Work with the Business Analyst and Data Analyst to develop moderately difficult data gathering for analysis, using automated data extract, filtering and manipulation techniques. Based on experienced understanding of data elements, correlate data gathering results to business situations. These business situations are usually requested from end-users, senior management, auditors & regulators.
- Trust intranet: Control materials placed on the Intranet, maintain organization of Intranet, and ensure adequate testing of updates to site.
- Training: Develop and conduct training programs in support of Trust systems use. Help develop and document departmental procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of a four-year college degree (BA, BS, BBA) with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in trust operations, banking, and or investments.
- Thorough knowledge of trust accounting system and investment performance system, as well as interfaces with other systems.
- The ability to perform and complete assignments with minimal guidance.
- The ability to retrieve information from systems using report writers.
- The ability to interact with end-users and vendors is essential.
- Must possess analytical skills to solve problems and determine and assess impact or action to be taken to correct problems with account and security data.
- Must be able to multi-task, supporting day-to-day production issues and new assignments along with the ability to lead projects.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills/characteristics is essential as is being technically proficient in software including MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Project. Salesforce CRM experience is a plus.
