Description
The Technical Product Manager is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and roadmap of the MEDIAN data platform. This role combines product thinking with technical depth, serving as the bridge between customer needs, business strategy, and the technical teams building the platform. You'll conduct user research, manage stakeholder relationships across product and engineering teams, translate customer feedback into product requirements, and define the platform's feature priorities to maximize customer value and business impact. Responsibilities
- Conduct user interviews and research with engineering teams across Mirion to understand their data and analytics needs
Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including product managers, business leaders, engineering teams, and customers. - Synthesize customer feedback and technical insights from the Data Platform and Solution steams into product direction.
- Define and maintain the product roadmap for the MEDIAN platform, balancing customer needs with strategic objectives.
- Write clear product requirements and user stories that inform the work of platform andsolutions engineers.
- Collaborate with the Data Platform and Solutions teams to understand technical constraintsand feasibility.
- Advocate for customer needs internally, while managing expectations and communicating product vision.
- Monitor market trends, competitive data platforms, and emerging technologies relevant to the space.
- Measure product success through KPIs, adoption metrics, and customer satisfaction.
- Present product vision and roadmap to leadership, customers, and internal stakeholders.
- Manage the product lifecycle, including feature prioritization, release planning, and post-launch evaluation.
Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of product management, product strategy, or technical program management experience.
- Strong understanding of data platforms, data pipelines, and analytics use cases (hands-onexperience preferred).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience conducting user research and translating feedback into product requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with limited resources.
- Proficiency with data concepts (SQL, ETL, data modeling, cloud platforms).
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage competing interests across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background as a data engineer, data analyst, or solutions engineer before moving into product management.
- Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, etc.).
- Experience working in regulated industries or with complex compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with the nuclear energy, medical imaging, or similar high-stakes industries.
- Experience building platforms and tools for internal engineering teams.
- Track record of successful product launches or feature releases.
- Knowledge of analytics, ML/AI, and data science use cases.
- Experience with agile development and product development methodologies.
