Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Business Park Patrol in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence that may help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and service requests, and document observations using site technology. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout commercial real estate buildings, parking areas, loading and service areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access to the location by monitoring entry points, checking identification as required, and directing visitors, vendors, and contractors according to site-specific policies.
  • Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and building management notifications as assigned, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and notable observations in written and/or electronic reports per Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
  • Provide assistance during emergency and non-emergency events by coordinating with site management, emergency responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Enforce site rules related to parking, after-hours access, deliveries, and restricted areas using a professional, customer-focused approach.
  • Perform lobby, perimeter, and exterior checks during varying weather and lighting conditions based on post requirements.
  • Communicate clearly with tenants, staff, and visitors, including providing directions and answering questions while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
