What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter access points as required. Working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or unusual activity.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site procedures.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems as required.
  • Assist with access control by checking identification, verifying authorization, and/or directing visitors and deliveries per site guidelines.
  • Communicate with site contacts, Allied Universal supervision, and/or local public services as needed during incidents and routine operations.
  • Operate and/or monitor site equipment such as radios, phones, key control systems, and/or cameras when assigned.
  • Follow post orders, remain attentive to changing conditions, and support other assigned duties consistent with the unarmed patrol post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
