The Management Consultant leads strategic project management initiatives and operational priorities. Defines competitive repositioning opportunities system-wide and evaluates the magnitude and complexity of system-wide and/or core process improvement opportunities and recommends a project approach.

  • Leads multidisciplinary teams of operations/system services executive, directors, managers, and staff in assessing current competitive position, customer satisfaction, financial performance, operational performance, technological performance, and team member competency.
  • Creates a picture of service possibilities and operations capabilities that meet and exceed customer expectations. Coaches team leaders and members on team roles, contributions, and attitudes.
  • Presents ideas, opportunities and recommended project approaches to assist in strategic prioritization and selection of key initiatives.
  • Conducts visioning sessions to define competitive advantage and improve operational capabilities.
  • Identifies the return on investment from projects defining specific cost, quality, service, time, and growth goals.
  • Strategically plans the engagement and flow of work to create team energy/momentum, gain stakeholder support, and meet project deadlines.
  • Establishes measurement tracking and monitoring systems while incorporating targeted performance measures in operations and financial reports.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience - 7 years in management consulting, project management or significant management experience in a clinical area
  • Education - Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or other relevant field

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior experience supporting or participating in an ANCC Magnet Recognition Program, including document preparation, data collection, or site visit support
  • Working knowledge of Magnet standards, sources of evidence, and re-designation timelines
  • Experience collaborating with nursing leadership, shared governance councils, and interdisciplinary teams in support of Magnet initiatives
