Mortgage Loan Processor Assistant

GENERAL SUMMARY

Following established policies and department procedures, assist the team of Mortgage Loan Processors with basic support duties of processing a mortgage loan. Will be required to place and track various orders, validate information received, document and update status of the loan file.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all orders such as appraisal, verifications, etc. as requested by the Loan Processor.
• Input and document loan information into the system for processing.
• Respond to inquiries and follow up with key individuals to resolve problems.
• Follow up with MLO's on outstanding loan conditions.
• Support the Mortgage Loan Processors in preparing files for processing and closing.
• Escalate processing issues to the immediate supervisor or manager for guidance and resolutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience.

Experience:

• Corporate work experience and some mortgage lending or banking experience with good knowledge of lending regulations and loan processing in a multi-state lending environment is strongly preferred.

Skills/Ability:

• Organized and detail oriented. Able to develop working knowledge of Bank's credit policies and approval process for assigned loans. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high production environment. Organizing and problem-solving skills; good written and verbal communication skills; must be able to adapt well to a fast paced and constantly changing business environment; PC proficient at the intermediate level; demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment; demonstrated ability to provide good client service; bilingual English/Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) is a plus.

OTHER DETAILS

$20.19 - $25.96 / hour
Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
