The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting accounting and control operations by reviewing daily reports to reconcile branch, ATM/PTM, and suspense account general ledger activity. This individual will monitor all activity, research balancing discrepancies, and will work with the Bank's branches and back-office staff to resolve general ledger outages. Candidate will have the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule after successful training and with management approval.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED is required. Some college preferred.

Must have a good math aptitude.

Strong research and problem-solving skills.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Working experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Bank branch experience preferred.

Able to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and coordinate multiple and changing priorities in a demanding environment.

Principal Activities/Objectives

Perform daily review/reconcilement of assigned general ledger accounts.

Assumes responsibility for tracking, researching and resolving any discrepancies, outages or aged items.

Maintains regular contact with branches and back-office staff to correct transactions or rejected items in a timely fashion.

Ensures follow-up action as and when necessary.

Adheres to Bank policies and procedures in reconciliation activities.

Serves as backup for daily general ledger processing.
