Description This position is for currently enrolled Sterile Processing high school students. The Sterile Processing Highschool Intern will be enrolled in a high school Sterile Processing training program. The SPD Intern will be expected to complete and comply with all academic standards of the training program and practice clinical skill competence in all areas of the Sterile Processing Department. About the training program: The program consists of an on-the-job training program with instruction and practical training and will ensure the competence of the trainees to aid and assist sterile processing operations. To participate in this program, a student must maintain at least a B average grade point and have satisfactory attendance. At the end of the training program, they will be expected to demonstrate competency in core sterile processing skills. Providence caregivers are not simply valued - they're invaluable. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
