As a Security Guard - Armed Utilities Desk in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, greeting guests and managing access to the premises. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Greet and assist visitors, employees, and/or contractors at the front desk of a utilities location, following site-specific security-related procedures and protocols.
• Monitor access to the building by verifying identification and issuing visitor badges as required, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal and site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of visitor activity, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as directed by site policies.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with clients, guests, and Allied Universal team members to address inquiries or concerns.
• Remain alert at the front desk to observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related matters to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
